Meditating on God’s Word

Thank you, Lord, for your steadfast love toward us. Thank you for being the keeper of our souls and the sustainer of our lives. Bless your people as we prepare to face today’s journey. 

Spirit of the living God, we praise you for who you are and all you have done. Although situations change, we thank you, Lord, that your love is unchanging. In the name of Jesus, we offer up this prayer. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Devote Yourselves to Prayer

“Have you ever grown tired of praying for something or someone? Paul says we should devote ourselves to prayer and be watchful in prayer (Colossians 4:2). Our persistence in prayer expresses our faith that God answers prayer. Faith shouldn’t fade if the answers come slowly, for the delay may be God’s way of working out His will in our lives. When you feel tired of praying, remember that God sees you, knows what you need, always listens, and wants to do a great work through you. He will always answer you – maybe not in ways you expect, but in ways that He knows are best.” 🙏🙏🙏

A Morning Prayer

I have so much to thank God for! Thank you, Lord, for waking me up this morning and starting me on my way. Thank you, for a safe passage to work. Thank you, for employment, food to eat, a roof over my head, and for a car to drive.

Thank you, Lord, for how you have redeemed my life from failures, struggles, and setbacks. Thank you, Father God, for being the keeper and sustainer of my life. Lord, I thank you, that you didn’t give up on me. I am reminded in your word, “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.” (Lamentations 3:22)

I pray, in the name of Jesus, for you to bless Pastors all over the world, as they provide spiritual leadership for your people. Lord, I am praying for a spiritual revival to break out, in the name of Jesus! I bind up every demonic spirit that’s working to destroy the lives of our young people by drugs and gun violence, in the mighty name of Jesus!

Satan, the blood of Jesus is against you. In the name of Jesus, comfort friends and families grieving the loss of loved ones. I speak, healing over the lives of people who have been infected and affected by the COVID-19 virus.

“Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.” (Jude 1:24‭-‬25 KJV) 🙏🙏🙏

Praying

The number of people who asked for prayer on social media yesterday is a sobering reminder of our need and dependency on the Lord. Father God, bless your people like only you can do, in the name of Jesus. 🙏🙏🙏

Praying On One Accord

I believe with all of my heart that the power of God moves mightily on behalf of His people when we collectively, on one accord, cry out to God in prayer. The Word of God says that, “The prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up” (James 5:15 KJV).

Father God, in the name of Jesus, give ear to our “prayer!” We are calling on you to be the chief physician for people who are in surgery. Comfort their families as they sit in waiting rooms expecting a great report.

We pray for individuals hooked up to a ventilator. You are Jehova Rapha, the Lord, our healer. Touch them anew in the name of Jesus with your healing touch that they will be able to breathe freely without the assistance of equipment.

“Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty.” Let your Spirit fall afresh on our lives. We plead the blood of Jesus over our lives.

Father God, we pray for a spiritual revival to break out in the lives of your people amidst this pandemic. Teach us how to worship you in spirit and truth. Bless Pastors throughout the world as they provide spiritual leadership to your people amidst this challenging season of life.

Hallelujah, thank you, Lord, for not giving up on us. “It is of the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Have your way, Lord. We glory in you. We claim victory for our lives in advance. We give your name all of the praise, all the glory, and all of the honor. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray this prayer and give thanks. Amen. 🙏🙏🙏

Praying

Good afternoon FB family and friends. I am praying for a safe and fair election day. I am standing on tiptoe, anticipating a mighty move of God today.

Father God, I am praying in the mighty name of Jesus, let “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). Have your way, Lord. Show yourself mighty in the name of Jesus. For your word says, “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty” (Zechariah 4:6).

Father God, we pray for a fresh wind, fresh fire to ignite the souls of your people throughout this nation and the world abroad.

Your word says, “Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 18:18). Therefore, we bind up the strong man and every demonic power, in the name of Jesus! We bind up the spirit of violence, every lie, and deception of the enemy. We lose the spirit of love, truth, and unity in the name of Jesus.

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen” (Jude 1:24‭-‬25).

The Heart of Worship

Hallelujah, God, I bless your name! Thank you for how you are keeping and sustaining our lives amidst this fallen world! Trouble surrounding us on every side.

Nevertheless, I bless your name anyhow for “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow” (James 1:17 NASB).

Thank you, Lord, for your grace and mercy that abounds in our lives. Despite all of all our shortcomings, your word reminds us that it is “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22‭-‬23 NIV).

Thank you, Lord, for giving us the ability to desire you. There are many things I could be calling out in this prayer. However, at this moment, I feel led to worship you and bless you just for who you are.

You are alone are holy, you are righteous, you are sovereign, you Lord God are omnipotent. There is nothing too hard for you. Hallelujah, thank you, Lord, for the visitation of your Spirit that led me to write this prayer.

Father God, I pray that this prayer will minister to individuals who are feeling overwhelmed by the ways of this world. My heart desires that this prayer will encourage your people to return to the heart of worship and remind us to look unto the hills from which cometh our help, for our help cometh from the Lord!

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God” (Psalms 20:7 NIV).

DEVOTIONAL READING

Good morning online family and friends. This morning I share an excerpt from the devotional reading, “Throne Room Prayer.”

“Prayer in its purest form is a love relationship with Father God. It’s an enjoyable relationship, not a religious activity. It’s the privilege of soaring to the very throne room of Father God to touch his face. Our souls are starved for this sense of awe—to speak and to hear from the living God who loves us and is waiting to share his heart with us.”

Scripture Reading:

“The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice” (John 10:2‭-‬5 NIV).

PRAYER OF PRAISE

In this post, I am sharing my reflection on what I received from the devotional reading this morning. God bless each of you, have a great day.

I hear the Spirit saying that as we pray, we should enter into the presence of God with a sincere heart. Furthermore, we must be mindful to praise the Lord for who He is in our lives and for the manifold blessings He bestows in our lives.

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly” (Psalm 84:11 NASB).

To that, I say, thank you, Lord, for blessing and keeping me all the days of my life! Thank you that despite my downfalls and shortcomings, you waited for me, you never gave up on me.

Thank you for your word that reminds me that it is “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22‭-‬23 NIV).

Hallelujah, thank you, Jesus, for being a friend and bearing my burden. I am reminded of the words of a famous hymn that sums up this devotion and the reason we should always pray.

“What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and grieves to bear
And what a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer

Oh, what peace we often forfeit
Oh, what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer.”
